Hi there! Welcome to my blog.

I'm so glad you're here. I recently decided to create a blog as a way to share more about my life and what makes me who I am.

My journey as a photographer all started when I was living in Japan with my parents in 2014. At the time, I was in 7th grade and my family was doing a lot of traveling throughout Japan and other countries in Asia. Going to all of those new places introduced me to beauty I had never experienced before. I asked my parents for a camera, and they full heartedly supported me, buying me a Sony a6000 to get started with. And let me tell you, I took that thing EVERYWHERE. It was the new way in which I saw the world, and I never looked back.

I remember a specific trip my family took in 2015 to Miyajima, the island famous for deer roaming around. It's a beautiful place surrounded by water and mountains, people flooding the streets. One of my favorite photos I've ever taken was there, with people walking, simply going about their lives. It was my first taste of photojournalism, capturing people in their natural state.

Looking back on this photo makes me emotional, because it was the first time I realized how much I loved seeing the world through a camera lens (I know, it sounds cheesy, but it's true!).

I'm so thankful for the experiences I had in Japan because my worldview changed completely. I moved back to Ohio in 2016 and my love for photography only grew. I never imagined I would be able to do this as a job, and I am immensely grateful for everyone who has hired me and believed in me. I can't put into words how much it means to be trusted with your special moments.

I'm so excited to continue learning and growing, taking you all along for the journey.
